Health & Productivity
Healthy people. Strong communities. Sustainable impact.
Regima Community Care Foundation is a Nigerian non-governmental organisation working to promote healthy and productive people through integrated health, nutrition, education, social protection, community systems strengthening, strategic communication and policy advocacy.
Who we are
Building healthier and more resilient communities
Regima Community Care Foundation provides people-centred interventions that respond to the health, social, educational and developmental needs of vulnerable and underserved populations.
Our work spans universal health coverage, reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, immunisation, nutrition, healthy ageing, social protection, education, emergency preparedness, humanitarian response, governance, accountability and citizen engagement.
Through community mobilisation, advocacy, strategic communication and collaboration with government and development partners, we support communities to participate meaningfully in the systems and decisions that affect their wellbeing.
Our vision
Healthy and productive people. Our vision guides our commitment to creating conditions in which individuals and communities can access the services, opportunities and support they need to live healthy and productive lives.
Our mission
To provide integrated, people-centred health, nutrition, education and social services; strengthen community systems; promote social protection; and advocate for accountable, transparent and inclusive governance, leveraging strategic communication and social mobilisation for sustainable impact.
Our programmes
What we do
Seven connected areas of work, delivered with communities rather than for them.
Health & RMNCAH
Integrated health services across the life course, with attention to reproductive, maternal, newborn, child and adolescent health, immunisation and essential social services.
Healthy ageing & social protection
Stronger care systems for older persons, vulnerable children and other vulnerable populations, with inclusion and equitable access to services.
Governance & accountability
Transparency, accountability and citizen participation in health and social systems through advocacy, community engagement and social accountability mechanisms.
Policy advocacy & strategic communication
Engaging stakeholders and communicating evidence, best practices and policy recommendations to strengthen health, nutrition, UHC and social development policy.
Emergency & humanitarian response
Timely and inclusive humanitarian assistance alongside community preparedness, risk communication and resilience.
Education & human capital development
Scholarships, grants, educational materials, adolescent development and life-skills initiatives for vulnerable populations.
Nutrition & community interventions
We implement evidence-based nutrition interventions through community platforms, behaviour change communication, advocacy and community mobilisation — reaching mothers, infants, young children and adolescents where they already gather.
Our impact
Our institutional engagement includes support for routine and supplemental immunisation campaigns, HPV vaccine mobilisation, Measles-Rubella Vaccine introduction activities, geriatric-care development, adolescent leadership and life-skills training, and national advocacy initiatives.
In 2023, following submission of its Annual Workplan, Regima successfully achieved all approved targets.
- ACSM support in Kuje and Abuja Municipal Area Councils
- HPV vaccine mobilisation across ten wards in Kuje
- National HPV Vaccine Flag-Off, Presidential Villa, 24 October 2023
- Measles-Rubella sensitisation monitored across all 36 states and the FCT
