Advocacy & community engagement

Giving communities a voice

Regima uses advocacy, strategic communication and social mobilisation to strengthen awareness, participation and accountability.

Strategic communication

Communication is central to our approach

We use health education, advocacy, community engagement, social mobilisation and behaviour change communication to support informed participation and increased demand for quality services.

Our field officers support community engagement, immunisation demand generation and primary healthcare activities, with field presence across the six Area Councils of the FCT.

Our methods

Four ways we move evidence into action

Community mobilisation

Field officers support community engagement, immunisation demand generation and primary healthcare activities across the six Area Councils.

Social accountability

We promote community participation in monitoring, feedback, decision-making, health-system engagement and social accountability mechanisms.

Policy advocacy

We engage stakeholders on RMNCAH, nutrition, UHC, social development, health financing, programme implementation, geriatric care and immunisation.

Behaviour change communication

Health education and communication designed with communities, so that messages reach people through the platforms they already trust.

Collaborate on advocacy

Work with Regima to promote transparency, accountability, citizen engagement and evidence-informed policy implementation.
